The training regimens of athletes in the Tour De France have also drastically changed to allow for faster times over longer distances and quicker recovery of cyclists. The nutritional knowledge has also changed greatly to allow for faster times over longer distance, and quicker recovery times. All of these factors have contributed to the success of the Tour De France and made it one of the worlds greatest sporting events ever, known for its incredibly difficult distances.
